Hold down the Play Button. But if you leave it alone long enough it'll turn off by itself.
But if you don't want to do that all the time just go to Settings>Main Menu>Sleep>On
and everytime you want to turn it off the iPod just click onto Sleep in the iPod Menu and ur iPod turns off.

Push and hold the play/pause button. Keep holding it down until it turns off completely.

hey its wierd they dont tell you how so i can understand you not knowing but just hold the bottom of the circle which s the play/pause button and just any button to turn back on
