In addition to the previous answer, you could contact the French Alliance (Alliance Francaise) office in your area. They should point you in the right direction and are endorsed by the French Government. This page also lists a directory of reputable study abroad agencies: http://www.macquil.com/abroad.php
Good luck!

Are you currently in college? If so, I would find out where the Study Abroad office is on your campus. You would be able to find out about a program that interests you there. You could also always ask your French professor as well to point you in the right direction.

If you aren't currently in college I can personally recommend the Center for Study Abroad. They have different programs for different durations in many countries. I did their 4 week course in Kobe, Japan in 2002 and I had the best time! I was 30 years old when I went. Most of the people in the program were college age (20's), one was a junior in high school, and I was the oldest at 30 (I was a teacher at the time so I had summers off). It was the best summer I've ever had!

Studying abroad is so rewarding! Everyone should do it if they can!
