If there were only one party it leaves it open to corruption. The reason for a second party or third party is to keep the party in power in check and create an opposition to critique the party in power...
or so I learned in school.

So, you have a nil% danger of being allowed to stay on your person party ought to you earnings elected place of work. shouldn't you ask why you're a member of a party that merely facilitates you to in by using fact they don't comprehend you exist? maximum persons don't think each and every little thing their party says they ought to. maximum Democrats have a approaches much less in consumer-friendly with their party than they have in consumer-friendly with the GOP (it is empirically so) yet wrongly assume the DNC consents with their very own view, against volumes of information to the choice. (O.ok., i'm going to offer ONE occasion: maximum Democrat voters have faith there must be some regulations on abortion - one hundred% of elected Democrats disagree lest they be shown the door.) maximum Republicans "help" their party mostly by using fact "it is not as undesirable by using fact the Democrats."

It defeats the concept of political parties. Which is to get together with people who think the same and to oppose what other groups are saying.
The solution you're looking for is not to have one big party. It's to eliminate political parties, and make all politicians get elected as individuals, vote as individuals, and be accountable as individuals.
Stop the herd mentality, and force people to make individual decisions.

Americans, even within a political party, can't agree on anything. It would be like having bees live in your head.
And it would scare the heck out of me to have masses of people all conform to the same party dictate.

I believe that due to human nature, no matter what the party names are, the way it is now is the way it will always be - two sides pitted against each other; any more and it gets too difficult for people to handle.

Would probably be a very good system. Big money don't want that. They want to pull the strings of the political puppets on both sides for the profit.

Has anyone around here heard of the Constitution? Or the fact that the US is NOT a democracy?
Just curious.

I believe that the people of this Nation should vote directly on all of the issues affecting thier lives, i.e. laws, regulations, taxes, forms of government, etc.
A true democracy would allow the people to have the choice of what kind of government they would prefer.
