I have recently finished my training as a midwife...the first time I delivered a baby on my own was an amazing feeling! The trust that woman had in me & being there when her first born child came into the world was such a special experience. The couple then gave the child, my first name as her middle name.

In August I was flying my hang glider and shared some thermals with several far more experienced pilots flying high performance gliders. I was able to hold my own in altitude, and airtime which was really satisfying. When I landed they came over as a group, introduced themselves and congratulated me on my flight. My glider is a beginner model and I don't have a lot of airtime, so this was a big deal, and yes, I felt "on top of the world".
