If you have any question about this on line store not being legit, just don't do the deal. PayPal is the way most internet deals are being done now. They are an escrow company and if there is any question about the buyer or the seller, they arbitrate.

I suggest setting up a special savings account with a limited amount of money in it that would be the 'bank' for your purchases on line. PayPal will withdraw the amount necessary for the deal and you don't have to do anything but facilitate the deal.

Seems to me, now that I think of it.. that sending a Western Union check would be like sending cash? You wouldn't do that, would you?

good luck.

There is both speed and security with Western Union since the seller will need to send someone with ID (which you can specify) to collect the cash from the WU office.
It is also about the most expensive way of paying for something - usual fee 10% - when compared to just using your credit card or the PayPal system. So, maybe there is a cheaper, slightly slower way you can use.
There are never any 100% reliable guarantees that a store will send exactly what you paid for in return, except perhaps the location where they host their web business might act as an indicator.

You study the rules of Western Union then decide. Western Union is one of the oldest and largest money transfer networks worldwide. It is one the safest way to receive money since it is not possible to reverse the transaction, especially if the amount is received in cash. More details available at

You don't, it not a good idea to make a purchase from an online store unless you are familiar with the company. You have no assurance that the store is legitimate. Shop elsewhere.
