it depends on many things and there is no true gaurantee that your clown will ever host an anemone. if you got a condylactus anemone there is a great chance that your clow will never go it. also there are certain anemones for certain clowns so far the most widley accepted anemone is the sebae ive had all my clowns accept them. perculas and skunks are the pickiest clowns and clarkiis are the most forgiving (so far the only one i have ever seen take to a condy.) if your clown is going to host your anemone it should start swimming around it and testing it within a week if it shows no interest in a couple of weeks he probably wont have anythjing to do with it.

It really depends on which Clown you get there are several types. They all will just about take to it if it's a clown of the wild. Tank breed Clowns are hard to take to them because they are not too familiar with what it is just instinct wise. I have a maroon clown and mines is tank raised and it won't go near my anemone but the tomato clown that i also have loves it. I have a pink tip anemone.

There's no guarantee, but some fish stores will sell the fish an anemones as pairs, if they are already together. However, even this isn't a guarantee, as the clown fish may reject the anemone in a new location.
