Line item veto! First of all you who are for the government helping you pay for health care, giving you minimum wage increases, dumping more in social programs? Who is going to pay for it? Hell lets just steal it from the rich and call it a tax! I want my share from those rich bastards! Which what is considered rich? Beings the upper 10% of wage earners pay 60% of the taxes. Why don't you use one of them government handouts called pell grants and student loans, and get yourself and education, then a job, and then pay higher taxes because you have lived right?

I think (or at least hope) that I will be surprised at how well he can work with the other party, now that they hold the legislative branch and he holds the executive branch. Also throw into the equation that he NOW knows that Rove has been misleading him terribly.

After all, he suddenly found some spine, and actually bucked Cheney to can Rummy. First encouraging thing he has done in a while. My esteem for him raised somewhat (well at least from subterranean all the way up to basement). I really think he may try and be reasonable, if for nothing else than to preserve his legacy, which up to this point was not looking so good.

This is what the balance of power is about, and I hope that the Dems don't spend too much time doing their *happy dance*, and get down to business with honor and integrity (a rather forlorn hope). This country is facing so many daunting problems, I would be disappointed if the legislators spend all their energy on partisanship rather than direct those energies to solving problems.

Oh, supply 'em it sluggish. They have not hit the misery element with all this Democrat administration of government yet and the "stimulus" kit burden hasn't fallen on their shoulders yet. In 2 years or quicker, they'll prefer they'd flow returned to the Bush years. i might enable you to comprehend to take that to the economic organisation yet i'm afraid with each and all of the government possession of banks in recent times, there's no longer any banks left while this occurs. via the midsection of Jimmy Carter's administration, the Democrats needed no longer something to do with him. the comparable factor will ensue with Obama until eventually he variations his direction and that i do no longer see that occurring. i replaced right into a youthful newly wed throughout the time of the Carter years and the present circumstances at the instant are not something in comparison to then yet we are heading there as rapid as Obama, Pelosi, and Reid can get us there.

He did veto one... federal funding for stem cell research.. his religious beliefs got in the way of that one... - but yeah if he starts vetoing everything, I will complain.. but the great thing about the US is that it never has to stay that way.. Congress can always over-ride his veto :)

I guess he'll start using it soon.

By the way, I'm "middle class" and I don't want or need Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats "helping me" with health care or anything else. But I guess they really don't care what I or anyone else thinks, as long as what they do is for our own good.

Why wouldn't they complain. If he is blocking minimum wage increases and assistance in helping Middle Class with health care and other issues, wouldn't you? Or do you have enough money to overcome that?

Bush is so crazy that u cannnot believe him. What ever the agenda he will use it whether it is for long term goals or short term goals.
This is because he does not think for himself but relies more on his advisors.

He had his first veto a couple of months ago. You better believe he'll use it more often now.
