considering the reason WHY the mask is worn...I would leave it on. As I remember the stroy line from back in the 80's masks are worn by members of his family as a rememberance of some past ancestor (one which, oddly enough, he has in common with Joe team member Lady J) and a wrong that was perpetrated on that ancestor.
