My Sandisk Sansa m240 is "powering down" when I try to turn it on. What does this mean?

It says its low on batteries and doesn't turn on. Also, how do you delete songs on it? Thank you in advance! =]

to delete songs u'll probably have to plug it in ur computer and do it from there and u might need to recharge or replace your batteries
