you can use sticky traps with peanut butter because contrary to belief mice enjoy sugar more than cheese. If that's not what your looking for you can buy one of those high pitched plug ins that drive rodents and insect away it may mess with your pets if you've any or send the mice to your neighbors house

There are basically 3 ways to get rid of mice:
Traps, Poisons, or create a hostile environment.
If you don't want to use traps. Your choices are poisons, or hostile environment.
You can make an environment hostile to mice by introducing a natural enemy: a Cat or a Black snake, or a Kingsnake. (Don't try a rubber snake though, mice are too intelligent for that). Some of those ultrasonic pest-eliminators, actually work pretty well too.
Be Creative if you wish: just remember Trap, or Poison, or Hostile Environment. (or some combination)
Since mice are actually intelligent creatures, you might be able to reason with it and persuade it to leave, if you could learn mouse language..

Well, you can get a mouse box, either from a pest control company,or a home supply store, or farm store, they are boxes that you can bait, they can get in but not out. (just like adrienne said...) look for the path the mice take in your house, usually along the wall, etc..., just like the song goes, mice are blind, so put the box in the path and it will run right in before it knows whats happened, very humane! also, look your house over top, to bottom and any small openings you can find fill with steel wool. Mice hate steel wool, and for some reason don't go near the stuff. good luck!!!

There are "humane" traps available. They look like small shoe boxes. The mouse goes in but can't get out. You can then take the mouse to a field and let it go.
