Ask any bartender, they will tell you the answer is yes.
Lots of people have cried in their beer.

Not at all, I'm afraid - any time I experience any especially "deep" feelings and there are strangers around ... argh, I do everything I can to -keep- myself from exhibiting those feelings. When I can't do that and they do come out ... I have a very, very hard time facing that particular person again, if he or she wasn't already a close friend whom I could hope would understand. Heh, actually even among my friends there are really only one or two who I'm even slightly "okay" about admitting my feelings to ... not the best way to be but it doesn't seem to be something I've been able to change (at least, not yet =)

Strangely, yes. I mean, if the person is a normal person who isn't carring a gun or has cut marks on themselves, of course. See, when you talk to a friend, there is always the risk of them slipping up and spilling it out. When you talk to a stranger, it doesn't matter if they tell a friend, because you don't know the stranger or his/her friends and everyone at school won't know about it the next day. Your feelings and secrets are not necessarily safe, but better guarded then some of your friends.

Do you know, that is a brilliant question. I sometimes like to pour my heart out to friends i met in chat rooms, i never met them and never will. So yes it is easier to discuss your probs with strangers
