Because they were divided and conquered.

Well, many were incumbents, so that wouldn't apply.

They had what they had. I thought they had a few good ones. I'm in NJ, and I wished Tom Kean Jr won, not because of politics, but because Menendez is kind of a crook. But then, I'm ambivalent - this is NEW JERSEY - it wouldn't be the same place without a fair amount of hanky panky going on in poltics. So it's all good.

Who were they gonna put up? Over the past 6 years, there has been a system of corruption. They dug their own hole.

Remember the Republicans blasting Clinton stating he was corrupt? They said it wouldn't happen while they were in office. People remembered that. That's one of many reasons why they lost.

They probably would have if they had any. The problem is that the Republican agenda has been shown to be flawed. The American people simply are fed up with the course the Reupblican party has planned for the country.

Easy answer. They're all either in jail or on the run. The past year has exposed the best of the worse,and the rest are in the closet or on government paid junkets.

Some of the Candidates that lost were viable...

This is a defeat of Republicanism, not Conservatism....

Guess what....in 2008....people will finally realize this wacked out left liberal mentality is too far fetched....

Liberalism =Socialism=Communism......why do you think...
liberals dems want to keep people ignorant and poor by increasing welfare....dependency.....to keep them in power..
i.e....inner city vote.....sad....

But this election is because of the Republicans...not being Conservative...and being fiscally and morally conservatism..

It's because they didn't have any. The Republicans had been overrun with right wing nuts, and religious fanatics. The few remaining moderate Republicans were powerless against them.

It had nothing to do with viable candidates. It had to do with the majority of Americans being sick of the way this country's being run.
