I had jus finished eating most of a bowl full of cereal, when I discovered it had several dead ants in it. I fear that I may have eaten quite a bit of these feral insects. The thing is, I didn't notice them at the beginning because it was a chocolate flavored cereal and I didn't pay much attention to these little dark bits floating around. Boy was I surprised when I looked a little closer!!!!!

Ants?
I am sure nothing will happen to you, although the idea is not pleasing to most of us. Our stomach has acids which can neutralize most of the natural things we may incidentally eat.

The lesson may be to store in glass jars with a tight lid, all kinds of food the ants may eat. Even when they smell it, they will not call their armies, for they cannot get to the food.

Some cognac (alcoholic drink, if you are of age) may help to neutralize whatever the acids did not do.

Enjoy an antfree meal out of a glass jar!

I wouldn't worry about it. They look very clean to me. I suspect everybody has eaten some bugs, accidentally, now & then, and I never heard of any harm from it.
