The only thing that can repair your credit is time and current payments. If there is misinformation on your reports you can dispute it and see if the reporting agency will remove it.

I would have to agree that if the information is accurate, there is nothing you can say in a letter that will "repair" your credit. The best thing to do is obtain a copy of your report and rectify any inaccuracies or request removal of old items. In the last 6 years, after many letters and diligent follow up, my credit score has increased approximately 100 points. It does take time, commitment to paying on time and paying off old debts. If you do have an inaccuracy, a general, short but informative letter will suffice. I suggest sending to all of the "Big 3" agencies. You will need to include your name, address, social security number, date of birth and contact information. Good luck.

you don't write letter.

you get copies of your credit report and write response

100 words or less to each bad credit listing..

contest or protest those credit that show up bad-late-not pair ect.
if those companies don't respond-credit bureas take off your credit report.
