Since the vast majority of republicans are workers, they do not hate worker's rights. What we do hate is the idea that workers can pull together any time things don't go their way and blackmail their companies by blocking the influx and outflow of business, and intimidating workers who do not agree with their plight. Unions are horrible, and while in some rare instances they are useful, their bad far outweighs their good. As far as "democracy" no government wants true democracy, because true democracy is mob rules, i.e. the majority makes the laws and the minority has to live with it. The reason we have a republic based on a constitution is that the constitution is a fair and equal document that allows for freedom, without the freedom to do evil (theoretically). In a democracy for instance, if 51% decided that all Asians should be enslaved, they would be. The constitution disallows slavery (in theory) thus, the majority could not make a law like that

I have not seen anyone complaining about the results of the election. Democracy insofar as the election worked, but the real test will be when our elected leaders get back to work. That is where I fear nothing will get accomplished. Isn't it time to put real term limitations on every office so our leaders can't make a career out of politics? If they didn't have so much time, maybe they would work a little harder to make a name for themselves and do some good for the country.

They hate to lose, just as everyone does. The difference is that they don't just roll over and take it the way the Democrats have done the last 2 elections. Democracy worked in this case, and Americans let their voices be heard, but that doesn't mean that Republicans are going to like it. I just hope everyone can put this nonsense aside and work together to improve our country and get us out of this horrendous mess we're in.

Why do Democrats trash Republicans all the time? As a Republican, I have to say...
"Tough love. Except I don't love them. It's like the Democrats' middle class tax cuts. Everything except the last word." ~Ann Coulter.
Nothing's wrong with democracy. As long as you don't complain too much and bring the lawyers and the courts into it.

we don't hate democracy, only stupid people that believe that the democrats can rehabilitate a terrorists.or another idiot that will take your tax and give it to a foreign country and call it a gift from America.remember Jimmy Carter, Gave away the Panama Canal to a dictator. Bill Clinton, remember when terrorists killed U.S. Marines and he sent a cruse missile to blow up a aspirin factory. all this may be falling on deaf ears, you may not be old enough to remember all the dead body trails leading Democrats to the White House, try Vince Foster

i haven't seen one complaint from republicans about the being voted out of power. three branches of government, power is separate but equal, executive, legislative and judicial. it isn't something that the media likes to discuss nor does it seem that liberals really understand the nature of our government. 3 branches equal power but separate... veto..
besides the blue dog democrats are not going to vote along SanFran Nan's party line. they are too conservative and had to sound more conservative than republicans to get elected..
believe me in 08 if dems loose both houses again, like they did in 94, well you should have seen them in 94.. can't imagine what dems will do if in 08 they loose their power again.. pendulum swings.. both ways..

Why do Republicans hate democracy? Because there is no money to be made on it.

Timer, don't look now but your double-standard is showing.
And who's whining? I'm not... I'm happy with how things went... It means either dems work WITH the president and the rest of congress to get things done, or they blow it for a long time to come.
