It's been a REALLY long time since I've read the book, so I don't remember. But in the movie, there was no one named Elijah.
**EDIT**
I just looked it up on IMDB.com and there was actually someone named Elijah in the movie. It was an uncredited part played by Zack Williams. Still though, he must have had a VERY tiny part because it's listed at the bottom of the credits and I honestly don't remember anyone by that name in the movie. He was possibly a slave with a one line part or something.

Having Elijah expire throughout his fiery-chariot departure seems to contradict Bible chronology that of course has him writing a real warning to King Jehoram of Judah at 2Ch 21:12-15 extremely some years after this experience. He departed from Elisha in Israel, then he's seen returned extremely some years later writing a letter to the king of Judah. So, according to danger the fiery chariot transported him to a different prophetic task. in spite of everything, 2 Chronicles provides him as nonetheless being alive in the international after his fiery departure. (It’s a danger it grew to become right into a different Elijah, regardless of the shown fact that it type of feels that Ezra, the chronicler, might have reported this. additionally, his letter grew to become into no longer a forgery, for it proved to be actual.)
