U2, because they are a great live band (I've seen them in concert many times in the 80's) You never know what Bono's going to do in the middle of one of their songs during a concert! He's dynamic!!

U2!! it's true that rolling stones are older and classic, but U2 is great because their messages penetrate the audience thanks to their incredible song writing skills, and they have that "it" factor. It's somethign you feel when you're at their concerts. It's that connection you feel not only with U2, but the rest of the audience that's there with you that night. U2's songs are so great because not only do they have incredible lyrics and messages, but the Edge is a freaking genius who has done much for the evolution of rock sound. Whereas RollingStones songs are enjoyable to listen to and just rock out, U2's songs make you feel like everything's possible. Also, U2 are really loyal to eachother, and they're friends first, band second. They have had the same people sine they started, and have such a strong bond. I believe the Rolling Stones lineup has changed over the years.

You can't compare these two. They are from totally different eras and in totally different genres. the stones subscribe to classic rock, whereas U2 seem to be more popular rock. Both have at times unndoubtedly been the best rock band in the world. Personally i prefer the stones because i'm a classic rock fan, and their music has that edge to it that U2 just don't have. I also prefer their lyrics. U2 can be a little too poppy at times for my liking, whereas the stones stick to what they do best.

Anyway, that's it from me.

U2. They are fun to listen to. The music that they put out has a really good beat. Even if you don't like some of the lyrics, just tune out the lyrics and listen to the beat. It's always good. Rolling Stones is too old for me.

U2 all the way. They're not decomposing like the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger looks like the crypt keeper. I also think U2 is a better band. The Rolling Stones are for people who miss the Johnson era.

I can't choose. Paint it Black is my favorite song by either of them, but I think U2 has more songs that I like, but that may just be because they have been together longer. And yes I know that the Stones have been around longer, but the key word here is together.
