Hey, what's wrong with you!?! What happened to the United States' political culture? Wake up, folks! You invented democracy! So act like a democratic people!
If you have a problem with the election's outcome, PhD, so go and vote the next time! You just have to wait two years! Change things instead of spamming this forum when you have a problem.
It's ridiculous and annoying to read this extremist ****. We (Germany) have five parties in our parliament (Imagine how complicated things are here!!), from far left to neoconservative. So what!? I don't like our present government neither (Believe it or not: it's a coalition between the German parties you can compare to your Democrats and Republicans! Crazy, huh?!), but I don't complain as it was the majority which voted for that government. The only thing I can do now is waiting for the next elections. Whining doesn't help me. And it doesn't help you!
That's what the American people teached us 60 years ago after liberating Germany from a REAL fascist regime. So, please don't compare the U.S. neither to a communist regime nor to a fascist dictatorship.

I hate the fact that the Democrats won because now I believe that our country is at least in a slight greater chance of another terrorist attack. But on the other hand I welcome it. Once the Democrats mess up the way Bush has the Liberal wing in this country is doomed. If Bush's press conference announcing Rumsfelds leaving the DOD indicates anything about how the next two years are going to go then Liberals have a shining chance to prove how ineffective the Bush Administration is. Unfortunately for them it my end up biting them in the butt.
On the other hand everyone expects this to be a quick breeze but there is also a chance that if Bush continues the actions of the past 6 years we can expect a deadlock. Nothing will get done anyway. What a waste of vote, then.

For someone with a PHD, you don't seem so smart. The US was never meant to be ruled by one party or one person forever. Things change, times change. I don't think the US is suddenly the United Soviet States of America just as much as I don't believe that I've been living in the United Fascist States of America for the past 12 yrs. I just wonder why noone has been talking about the SPP, that seems to be more of a threat to our national sovereignty than anything.

Hold up. I think you mean "The Islamic States Of America!" For the simple reason the terrorists want complete Democrat control of the House and Senate. Chalk up another win for the Islamic Extremists. Start saving your money everyone because tax hikes are in the very near future!

So far so ordinary. Within Two years, we will all face a difference, whether we choose to see it or not. Unemployment will be up....inflation will be higher....And recently after re-enlisting with the reserves,(after 4 years active) probably out of a job. Yeah, these are wonderful times we live in..... Too bad more people don't look at the long term. Instant gratification is the most selfish act...

Well, I guess you were wrong about counting chickens prematurely. Not even I thought the Dems would win such an historic victory.

Good for me. I don't feel communist just yet. I just wish we could really raise Andrew Jackson from the dead. Old Hickory even as bones, would have thoroughly and totally already finished this war and have us all working together for a future. I also helped defeat communism in the Cold War, so don't equate not liking Bush and piss poor leadership with being Communist.

I think in January, it will probably sink in that the reign of the American Hitler is on the way out, and I applaud the decision of the American people to begin the ousting of that regime. If you enforce a democracy on a country, it's no longer democracy, and that's exactly what the Bush regime has been trying to do.
It's been happening by military might, economic sanctions and subversive means. Just as Russia tried to export comunism through might and trickery, so has Bush been trying to impose his brand of democracy on the world. With that, he's been placing American citizens in harm's way while spending billions of dollars at the expense of the sick, poor, young and old of our citizens. Taking a country that was on the way toward financial security, he has indebted it once again to banks and creditors.
If you call what has happened to this country something good, I can understand your dismay at people who think otherwise. I just don't believe that the Unites States of America ought to be the arbiters of what is right and wrong in the world. Protecting ourselves from immanent danger is one thing. Policing the world is another.
