Sorry, i dont have the latest red book but YES it is a collectable.
this site has values but i do not know how accurate it is.

It looks like your coin would be around $20 in Extra Fine condition and the price goes up with condition. and very few are still in this condition.
It also depends on the rarity of the coin and values fluctuate daily. You should really go to a coin shop or book store and pick up a copy of the US Coins Red Book. its around $10-$11 and you will be able to look up your coin to get a value.
and see how many were made.
Coins are very difficult to grade unless you have seen quite a number of them in different grades and this will affect value.

What you have is a Wheat Back Cent not a penny.
Pennies are from England and are considerably larger.

Actually a Red Book is good for getting info, but pricing is not one of them. The book is published only once a year and the prices are of a retail nature and usually out of date. It is good for finding where mint marks are and has a grading guide that is helpful. The 1919-D cent is a collectible. It's mintage is 57,154,000. It has the lowest mintage of the cents that year, even beating out the San Francisco mint.In grade good-date worn but apparent, lines in wheat heads missing, full rims, value .50. In grade fine-wheat lines worn but visible value$1.00. In grade extremely fine- slight wear all details sharp, value $7.00. It is not a rare coin but one not so easy to find theses days in circulation. Yes wheat cents are still out there, but in lower numbers as time goes by. The prices I gave you are close to what a dealer would pay. There are other grades, but this will give you an idea, without me writing a book.
