I bought my pc with XP already installed. So if I f/disk it, will I be able to go online and download Windows XP home edition again?

i believe you might have been supplied recovery cds also.You will not be able to down load from internet but may be able to reinstall if you have been provided cds also.

Keep in mind the f/disk should not touch the hidden/secure partition on which you OEM version of XP is tucked away. Once you have scrubbed the hard-drive, you should simply be able to re-install via your recovery discs

If you're careful, you can use fdisk without having to reformat. You can truely use it to recover lost hard disk space that's lost during the installation of Windows, so it can be done. What are you wanting to use fdisk for?

if you use format on ur pc all will be gone win xp & drivers. software

windows is a commercial program. you will have to buy it if you don't have it. fdisk will COMPLETELY ERASE AND REFORMAT YOUR HARDDRIVE.
