"*" - Rumi and Tabrizi are still whirling, but once in a while I have to give 'em a little Super Spin push to tweak their erratic vibes.

"True" and "False" are logical constructs. As such they have nothing to do with meaning. The only arbiter they answer to is "Consistency."

Let's look at this question another way. Is the sunset, to take one example, any less "true" for being "void of meaning"? "Ah," you say, "but the sunset IS meaningful." To which I reply, "Meaningful to YOU. The "meaning" of the sunset resides in you not in the sunset. Nevertheless the sunset is true (have you ever witnessed a false one?) because it is self-consistent. It always occurs in the western sky as darkness approaches."

In science even, that lofty tower of righteous knowing, a belief that adequately explains the observed "facts" will continue to be accepted without challenge until either the observations change (read "new data") or that belief shows itself to be non-compliant (read "inconsistent") with one or more other more cherished beliefs. Didn't Einstein tell us, "It's all relative?"

In sum, there is no such thing as "ultimate meaning" or "ultimate truth," only "these small meanings I attach to these objects here or to this event" and "these truths I currently hold to be beyond repute." At times these whirling dervishes actually meet and embrace. That, my friend, is the wonder of it all.

Truth has many paths but only one way to get there..And the principals were set in stone to follow..Meaningful yes but not without some bumps and bruises along the path.... I myself think that hell is
is here and if you believe you can have eternity, or on the other hand
nothingness ..The only thing about that is we are all spiritual beings..I don't think I would want to miss out on an eternity where there's no sickness, poverty or marriage! lol Noe that's gotta beat the here and now......

emotions such as meaningfulness are how we relate ourselves to truth or untruth. Truth is one basis for causality.

"Tao(the truth/path/God, etc) that can be told is not eternal Tao, name that can be name is not eternal name......" Definately meaningful but it's beyond words.
