Well no one has "won" yet. The Seibu Lions have 4 days to accept or decline the highest bid which are all secretly made.

Well there has been a report from ESPN that the Boston Red Sox may have the highest bid. The Red Sox are said to have bid between 35 million to 40 million dollars. But the Seibu Lions have until Tuesday to accept the highest bid and will likely not announce the team who won until then.

The bids, were closed 2day at 5:00 p.m eastern, the winner will be announced in 4 days. Then that team gets 30 days 2 negotiate a contract.

IM gonna say it was the boston red sox, just a feeling.

It has not been released.

It will not be officially released until the bid is accepted which has 4 days to happen.

It will no doubt be leaked out in the coming 12-24 hours.

Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Rangers and Cubs have been rumoured to be the only teams placing serious bids, and i would eliminate the Rangers and Cubs.

I think the highest bid would be from either NY team or Boston.

no one knows yet. As the story says we'll prolly know tomorrow...i don't think the yankees will get him though. My bet is on the Mariners in the AL or the Mets in the NL.
