hi i have celeron d 2.6ghz cpu i also have a pentium 4 2.4ghz cpu wold it be worth taking the celeron d chip out and putting the pentium 4 2.4 in would there be any diffrence in performance

I would say yes, although how big a difference depends. The Celeron D has a 533MHZ FSB and 256 cache. The P4 could have a 533MHZ or 800MHZ, and could have 512 or 1024 cache. So the advantage depends on which P4 2.4Ghz you have, but no matter which one, you are better of with the P4.
