No serious anthropologist would believe this. To those citing the Egyptians, Mayans, etc, the question asked involved the phrase "hundreds of thousands of years ago". Genetically modern humans didn't even exist yet. But I don't know everything, maybe there was a vast fish empire sometime during the cretaceous period.

No - the earth did not exist hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Most methods of estimating the age of the universe/earth indicate youth.

For example, earth's magnetic field is decaying and has been measured for a few hundred years. Extrapolating back puts an upper limit on the age of the earth of thousands of years.

Many many other such estimating methods, indicate similar, such as
Helium in rocks
saltiness of the sea
existence of comets
recession of the moon
shortness of human history
etc
etc

Many civilisations in our view were advanced thousands of years ago. Take the Egyptian, Roman, Greek and the Minoan empires, all of which are considered advanced for the times. In thousands of years time we may be considered advanced compared with what's to come.

I am assuming you mean either equally or more technically advanced than ourselves, and in that case, I'd have to say no, I do not believe that. There would be evidence of their structures and some of their inventions, and there hasn't been anything.

There are definitely civilizations that were beyond their scope of time though. Ancient egyptians had plumbing in their structures, which even people in the 1700s did not have.

look at ancient Rome. lets start with there building material. there concrete was alot sturdier then ours and we cannot seme to recreate it. the colliseum is 160 feet tall and they built it without ne new technology. id say thats pretty advanced. the pantheon in ancient Rome now theres 1. the pantheon has a dome ceiling but in the middle of the cieling there is no cieling jus a PREFECT round 30 foot circle. the actual domt of the cieling is 10 fett top to bottom 100 feet in circumfrance and 100 feet in perfect diameter. look at there bathouses that they had. when julius ceaser went to conquer Gaul he built a bridge in the span of jus 10 days!!!! look it up it crossed the hole rhine river. common day archetectors said that we cant built it even with our equipment. they even had indoor plumbing!! in ancient rome there was more water available to the citezens then there was to the city of NY in 1985!!! they had 7 major aquaducts that they used to get water. so yes i would have to say that the erath has played host 2 more advanced civ's then our own.

There hasn't been any evidence, for a more advanced civilization than ours, but that sure would be interesting, if they found some.

i think of maximum persons misunderstood your question and replied sure, i comprehend why they pronounced sure by using fact sure you would be watching earth because it grew to become into sixty 5 million years in the past, yet that would not inform you the way it"S looking LIKE NOW! enable's seem at your state of affairs, you reside precisely 65million mild years far off from earth and sooner or later you have chose to look by way of your telescope at earth, you may even see it because it grew to become into sixty 5 million years in the past(sure, you favourite that) yet what you may think of is, that your watching it whilst there grew to become into dino's! that may not the case, because you may ought to attend yet another 65million years to truly see them yet at their time they might of all been lifeless. attempt to no longer get perplexed between the previous and the now.. To wrap issues up, in case you wanted to view dino's 65million years in the past from earth, you may have made your remark will whilst they existed and specific died which you would be able to be sure them, by using fact mild takes time to commute. think of roughly it!

The evidence is in these facts/ stories. Noah's Ark, a ship built in a style way in advance of its' time.
The stories of the ancient Romans and Greeks, e.g Medusa, the lady with the 'snakes ' in her hair ; obviously ancient Romans and Greeks saw space aliens , and this was their way of explaining what they saw.
Nostradamus, a space alien , a traveller through space and time , who made many amazing prophesies, which came to pass with amazing accuracy.
