Finally, something that makes sense. Well most respected present day would be George Clooney, classy guy. Past would be Spencer Tracy, still one of the best. My opinion.

Great question! I've read some of my favorites mentioned, but one who hasn't been yet is DeForest Kelley. A quiet unassuming actor who shied away from the celebrity life. His co-stars enjoyed working with him and I've never read any thing negative about him while he was alive or since.
Of course there's also Willie Nelson...
