Call AAA(1-888-AAA-Help). They will do it for you.

If you are cingular customer: add the emergency assistance for 2.99$ per month. Then Call them and ask them to help you out.

When describing your situation, say you are "locked out".

depending on the make of your car, lock types.. a quick way is get a small wedge a coat hanger and a shoe string and a little tape (duct tape is best but any can work)
step 1 straiten the coat hanger and bend a loop at the end big enough to fit your thumb through at least. then bend that 90 degrees (you have something that kind of looks like the thing you used to dip Easter eggs with)
step 2 tie a small slip knot in the shoe string open it bigger than the opening on the hanger and tape it into the loop
step 3 wedge open the top of the door, just enough to get the hanger through on the latch side of the wedge. guide the loop over the lock, pull the string over to the side of the door clear down by the latch. pull the string loop tight and pull up on the hanger. remove wedge before opening the door to avoid any damage.
This has worked many times for me. I'm sorry to say I've used this method more than a dozen times on my car. I also recommend duct taping a spare key to the inside of your grill or front bumper to avoid this problem in the future..

If you can wedge something in the top of the door jam, you can use a bent coat hanger to fish them out. Don't try to pry the glass down. You''ll break it. If worse comes to worse, break a small window like a quarter glass. Those are cheaper to replace. Around $35 for most cars at most junkyards. But I'd try pop-a-lock before resorting to that. A lot of tow truck drivers also offer door opening services, usually less than pop-a-lock. Good luck.

were I live the police will come do it for free. be wary of someone who puts a wedge in your door though....I seen this done once and the guy put it in too far and bent the door. Our police get several calls per day and do a professional job.

Another idea is...just get the vin# located on the dash...look through the drivers side and take that to your dealer and they can make an extra key for you based on the vin #.

Cheap way... get a coat hanger and jimmy it out. but if you want to do it the professional way call pop-a-lock they have the right tools for the job hands down

I have AAA but wouldn't have thought of them to unlock my door. I called the 1-888-AAA-help number someone suggested, (my card was in my wallet in the car), and was told by an automated operator that it should be 800 instead of 888, but they are on the way... so thanks for the AAA reminder!!!! :)

call a lock smith from the phone book and pay the $40.00. Don't mess up your car doing it yourself.

use a triangular wood door stopper and a hammer to wege it into the crack of the door and then use some strong cloths hanger to make a clamp like tool and then glue some leather to the end to give more grip. insert the tool in to the crack and open the car door.
