a few weeks ago there were both floods and an earthquake in hawaii(forgot which caused this)
since they fell behind in the shooting schedule the unscheduled break until feb. was necessary
there was damage to the location where the show is filmed
i've answered this a lot today
seems everybody wants to know

I have no idea but it makes me so mad! They have so many fans out there that it's insane and they feel the need to take a break? I did notice the show is certainly taking some confusing turns in the plot. Maybe they need some time to re-think everything. I hear people complaining about all the new stuff that's being brought into the show but I love all of it! I keep loving it more and more!!! I hope they don't take a break and ruin anything.....I really hope so! I wonder if there is a LOST chat room, I just love LOST more than you can imagine!

by making ppl wait they will b more interested to find out what happens...FOX's 24 did this and it raised their viewer number and lost lost some viewers over the 2nd season so they're taking this huge break to attract more viewers..., but i'm really mad about the hiatus...i'm just glad they didn't kill off sawyer...and they finally got those two to say they loved eachother...i wonder what'll happen to ben...not that i care...lol

Some shows stop over Christmas.. and start again in the winter season..

Because too many people complained about reruns so now they're trying it another way. Two blocks, no reruns.

ooh, well thats probably because some shows stop during the winter/hollidays. and also they want to leave the suspense.

Because they want to lure you into their little web. And I happen to think that it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God i've only been watching the last few minutes of it. lol
