Here are the things I do t stop myself stressing too much...

1) minimise news and current affairs watching/reading/listening. The news and current affairs is always focussed on the negative and who did what to whom and how bad it all is. If you dont pay no attention to it you will find more peace in your life.

2) Learn to prioritise your life. Priorities can be identified as being numbered on a scale of 1 - 5.
Number one priorities are the really life and death type things. Taking required medication, eating a balanced diet, drinking enough fluids, getting enough sleep, family time and at least one thing that you do that is for pure enjoyment.
Number two priorities are the ones that make continuing your life possible in this world. Going to work, paying high priority bills like rent/mortgage food and electricity;

and you work out the rest according to what is important to you....

But once it is all prioritised you will find that life become less stressful.

3) Be organised. Take a few minutes each morning to plan your day so that you know what you are doing for the day.

4) Dont expect too much of yourself or others.

5)Remember your priorities are not going to be anybody elses priorities.

6)learn a good meditation and use it every day.

7) walk for 20 minutes out of doors every day. The sunshine and fresh air will clear your head and make you feel good.

8) remember the only thing you can change in this world is yourself and the choices you make.

9) Eat regular and healthy meals. Being satisfied in a nutritional way makes you feel more ssatisfied in the rest of your life.

10) Learn 100 ways to say "No!" here are a few to get you started

"No thank you."
"that is not something I am interested in"
"I really cant fit that in this week"
"perhaps ________ would be interested in doing that for you." (Name someone who might enjoy doing it instead of you.)
"My calendar is full."
"I think you can manage that yourself"
"Not any time soon."
"no!"
"I will let you know if I decide to do that."
"I can't afford that"
"You need to ask someone else"
"Have you tried doing it yourself?"

The main thing is just learning control of your mood or emotions. You've got to learn how to not let everything get to you. I guess its like that saying "you have to chose your battles". I have a problem with stressing too much too but I am working on controling it the best I can. I try to let the small things pass and so that will be a little less stress for me. I hope you can get better at not stressing. Just make sure the things you're stressing over is worth your time. That's helped me out alot. Lots of luck
