Ok. I know his sounds odd, but I need to put my mind at ease. I am PRETTY sure I got my period around sept 15th, which, if that is the case I would be 2 months pregnant. I also had unprotected sex around august 23, during my period. I had a ultrasound on oct. 26, and this is the ultrasound. (taken around what I think to be 5-6 weeks preg.)

is there any POSSIBLE way I could have concieved late august, instead of middle of sept, judging by the ultrasound? I am happy I am pregnant, just very curious, and I have a tendancy to worry, I went to bars and stuff late august and beginning of september. and stopped partying and things, and caffein and all when the first pregnancy test was positive (oct 15.) if I concieved around late august, when I took the ultrasound, wouldnt it mean I was 8-9 weeks? what does it look like to you? serious answers please. thank you.

NO, the doc didnt say a word really, just congrats. LOL. like I said, I am pretty sure I had my period in sept.. but I am semi-irregular, and never keep track. sperm can live longer, yes, but even if it did, around the date of my ultrasound it would be 8-10 weeks. I keep trying to compare it to other 5-6 week fetuses on yahoo image search... just would really like some input from diffrent views. THANKS!

the doctor should have measured the baby and given you an estimate of gestation. for me, i wasn't positive of the exact day of my last period, but the measurments were pretty accurate.

go with what your dr says, those measurments are pretty accurate.

When calculating how far along you are, you will add 2 weeks prior the first day of your period. If you have a "normal" 28 day cycle period you would potentially ovulate on the 14th day of each cycle. So 14 days after the start of your period would have been when you got pregnant. If you are already that far along, it is possible you got pregnant in August and was possibly bleeding from implantation in September.

They should have measured the baby. At 6 weeks and 3 days mine was 0.57 cm. When I went in, we thought I was 10 weeks... I came out a month behind by the measurement.

This looks to me to be less than 8-9 weeks, but the doctor should have told you what he/she thought. At 11 weeks my son was fully formed and about 3 inches long in total.

What did they say at the dr. They can tell by the size of the baby at that point just how far you are. Keep in mind that sperm can live in your body for up to 14days, so you can get prego days after you actually have sex

Maybe. Your doctor(s) should have told you how old the baby is. It looks like a baby. I'd say around 5-7 weeks.

If I had to guess, and it is just that, a guess I would say 5-6 weeks. The Dr. should have told you though.

That would be a question for your doctor or the person doing the ultrasound. Didn't they tell you how old the fetus was?

They should have told you exactly how far along you are. It looks like around 5-6weeks.
