Put the cream on the outside, where it still itches.

There are a lot of answers for you. First, yeast can be real tricky. Go to the doctor and make sure that it is yeast. Also, if is it yeast, you must treat yourself AND your sex partner, because he or she can reinfect you. Tell the doctor or the nurse that you don't know where it came from or what to do. Listen to them. Ask for more information. Listen again. Get them to write it down or ask for printed material on the subject. Don't depend on your memory. Also, the OTC stuff is not always as effective as a prescription so don't use it on a regular basis. Let the MD prescribe something. Be good to yourself. Eat activate yeast products.

You and your husband both must be treated because you can keep passing it back and forth to each other. You will need to have more medicine and he will too. After it is cleared up, go to your pharmacy and get Acidopholus capsules and Pau d' Arco capsules. They will both work together to keep a balance in your body that will help in boosting your immune system. If you have a natural medicine shop near you, they can help also. There are some good natural medicines to help this. Also, avoid sweets and a lot of yeasty bread in your diet.

You could have something that isn't a yeast infection, so
before you try any other home remedies, go to a doctor.
If it is something other than a yeast infection, they will give you the right medication and over the counter meds
could mask the real problem.

My advise would be to see a doc, you could have a different type of infection. Until then make sure you keep dry down there like after the shower and wear cotton underwear.

If I were you I would go and get tested for any STDs. Its a scary thought because you don't want your husband to think you're cheating. I had the same problem and it turned out to be herpes. But, we're all different. If it does turn out to be an STD then you and your husband need to have serious talk.
