Yes it is possible to have a period and be pregnant. I know women who have been pregnant and claimed to have periods. It isn't likely since a period is the shedding of the lining of the uterus and a woman needs that lining for the embryo to attach to and develop. Alot of times a woman will think she's having a period but it's actually implantation bleeding which is a light spotting. Some people will say it is not possible to have a period. If you want to know for sure definitely ask a doctor.

I have done some research on this. If you get your period and it is a regular period for you (same blood flow, etc.)- then chances are you are not.

In some cases, there can be light bleeding or spotting around your period time when you are pregnant. Many women mistake this for a period.

In other (VERY RARE) cases, you can get a period and be pregnant. It happened to my girlfriend, who got her period for the first 5 mos of her pregancy.

If you are pregnant and bleeding and it is not your period time - call your doctor ASAP!

If you get your period and take a pregnancy test, which comes back negative - then you can be 100% sure you are not.

This is not a personal experience of mine but I have known girls to be pregnant and still have their period through 8 months of their pregnancy. Granted it was lighter but they still had it..So YES you can still get your period and still be pregnant.

Yes but have the doc check it out and rule out any complications. My aunt had her period for the first six months of her pregnancy. And I had it ones during my first pregnancy. It was the placenta detaching but nothing serious my dd will be 12 next month.

With my 2nd pregnancy I got my period until my 6th month, If it hadn't been for the other signs, swollen breasts, morning sickness, etc I wouldn't have even known until I felt the baby move!
