Entertainment?
I must miss where we use animals for human entertainment. other than rodeos and circuses/zoos/aquariums..

If you mean research, then, oddly enough, animal based research has been decreased dramatically, unless needed.
Computer modeling/simulations are far faster/cheaper /more effective than live testing.

But, if needed, then I have NO qualms about using animals for testing; contrary to what PETA would have you believe, animals are treated as humanely as possible, subject to the needs of the particular experiment/research..

However, between humand and animals, I pick humans any day....I'm not going to tell some kid or their parent, "Sorry that Jimmy's going to die or be blind, but we didn't have the heart to try it out on fluffy the bunny first, so we can do Human trials yet......"

People are not getting this. If you are talking about animals that suffer for our entertainment such as in circus shows and aquarium acts like dolphin and killer whale acts. And of course zoos. Zoos are tough, if it is a good zoo then I am not sure, even though the animal is being captive and that is not a good thing but they are also studying them on how to increase their numbers such as the case if tigers then it may be ok on one hand. Things like circus acts that involve animals such as elephants and tigers and dogs should be abolished. Aquarium acts should be abolished also. These animals are very intelligent and it is inhuman to keep them captive.

Yes. But i think the suffering caused by our diets is far greater. If you think its wrong to inflict harm on an animal for entertainment, I don't see how you (not you personally, but a person in general) could justify inflicting even more suffering on animals for taste. So yes, but I think its a rare occurrence and the real moral issue is diet.

yes. we all are alive and breathing, why don't we torture other humans and put them in zoos across the world and keep them in same exhibit all day with the same people and let's have other humans in the labs where they test the monkies and watch the people go crazy.. and we can train humans to wear saddles..

what's the difference?? in the theory of evolution, we all evolved from the same thing, what makes us think we are superior to animals?
