My very first boyfriend used to tell me that. And he was kind of a go hard kind of guy and I think it was a lot easier for him to say that than I love you. But I always took it to mean so much more. We eventually broke up and he is married to someone else now and he recently told me that he still holds me in high regard and loves me very dearly as a friend. So, I look back at him saying that to me and it makes me know that what we had really was very special, and how we felt about each other was very real..because I absolutely adore him as well....still to this day...he's a great guy.

Not that I can recall. I think it was more of an implied thing, and may actually be of more importance to a woman. But, I can see your point.
*edit* It has been said between friends, but not in a lover's relationship type of way. I do adore my best friend, and have said as much.

Well,i love you is nice word but some people takes that other way.So what can i say if someone dont understand you that is sign that this person does not love you.Love is understanding.I am saying that words only when i really someone do love.
