Hard decisions but heres what I would put, though some of these aren't always considered "classic rock" I consider them that:
1) Moonlight Mile - The Rolling Stones
2) Sounds of Silence- Simon & Garfunkel
3) Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks
4) Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
5) Sweet Melissa - The Allman Brothers (ok, well southern rock to)
6) Hurricane - Bob Dylan (folk-rock to!)
7) The End - The Doors
8) Castles Made of Sand - Jimi Hendrix
9) Over the Hills and Far Away - Led Zeppelin
10) On the Turning Away - Pink Floyd
11) Like Being Stoned - Tom Petty
12) My Rides Here - Warren Zevon
13) Old Time Rock & Roll - Bob Seger
14) She Talks to Angels - Black Crowes
15) Up Around the Bend - CCR
16) Carry me, Carrie - Dr. Hook
17) Pink Houses - John Cougar Mellencamp
18) Comin' Home - Lynyrd Skynyrd
19) The Last Waltz - The Band
20) Troubled in Mind - Janis Joplin
21) For What It's Worth - Buffalo Springfield 22) Shooting Star - Bad Company
I could go on and on, but I figured 22 is enough...lol, so who would you choose?

You're right. So many greats to think of but a few I'd like to cover when I decide on my setlist are (order not relevant to preference):
Jumping Jack Flash - Rolling Stones
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
All Day and All of the Night - The Kinks
Dear Mr. Fantasy - Traffic
Let It Rain - Eric Clapton
Whipping Post - Allman Bros.
Knockin' On Heaven's Door - Bob Dylan
I Saw Her Standing There - The Beatles
Playing In the.../Uncle John's Band (medley) - Grateful Dead
Needle and the Spoon - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Eight Miles High - The Byrds
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Bad Company - Bad Company
Freedom - Jimi Hendrix
Sin's a Good Man's Brother - Grand Funk Railroad
Mean Town Blues - Johnny Winter
My Generation - The Who
Somebody to Love - Jefferson Airplane
Rock Me Baby - Steve Miller
Evil Ways - Santana
The Weight - The Band
All Good People - Yes
Long Time Gone - Crosby, Stills, & Nash
Southern Man - Neil Young
Message In a Bottle - The Police
What's that? 26? Plenty for a CD and certainly more than one set live.
I came back to append with these:
Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
Good Times, Bad Times - Led Zeppelin
Carry On My Wayward Son - Kansas
Badge - Cream
Down On Me - Big Brother & the Holding Company (Janis Joplin)
Fortunate Son - Credence Clearwater Revival
Can't You See - Marshall Tucker Band
Lazy - Deep Purple
Green Grass & High Tides Forever - The Outlaws
