There's a quiet Korean restaurant run by Koreans at the backdoor to Bukit Timah Plaza. It's excellent! Or try the Korean stall at the food court of Sim Lim Square for the cheap end.

If you wanna have korean food, you can go to Ngee Ann City where at the 4th level you can find the Crystal Jade Korean Food Restaurant, they serve good dishes over there and it is quite authentic, and the side dishes are refillable.
In addition, you can try out Far East Plaza, there's a korean restaurant that serves almost the same thing as crystal jade, prices are almost the same too. And the food is just as nice.
The 2 places mentioned above have korean bbq.

Another area you could try is Tanjong Pagar. There are many traditional korean restaurants over there for you to pick from.

But if you're looking for cheaper korean food, you should go to this shop Kim Dae Mun which is located in Le Meridien Hotel's food court.
The shopowner is a korean and her cooking is better.

However, i would not suggest you try the korean restaurant at Heeren, cos they don't have korean bbq and the food isn't as nice as Far East and Crystal Jade. And they don't have much variety in terms of side dishes, and their kimchi isn't as good as the ones served in Far East and Crystal Jade.

Hope it helps!

Mee Doo Korean Restaurant serve great authentic Korean dishes such as beef bulgogi, kim chi soup and stir fried pork. I have tried others dishes that are nice but cant remember the name. Usually the servings comes with 10 types of side dishes such as stewed lotus roots, kimchi, black beans, steamed egg, cucumber kimchi, spinach and many others. The patrons are about 60% Korean and the rest are local. Mee Doo is located near Maxwell market, 26 Tanjong Pagar road Tel 62242881. The beef bulgogi alone cost S$40 for 2 is considered value for money coz of the amount of great side dishes served.

There are one Korean restaurant in club street and west coast that are suppose to be nice too but have not been there yet.

Hi Wyn, I tried the restaurants you have mentioned for eg. Heeren, Crystal Jade in Centerpoint and the one first floor of Far East but Mee Doo is still the best, in my opinion. Try Mee Doo and you will know. : )

Try Sim Lim Square basement food court. Its at the end. Cheap and filling. There is a Korean grocery stall at nearby Burlington Square facing Bencoolen St.
