Let me explain. I was at church, talking to my friend (i used to like him a alot) and one of the muscians. The muscian asks me, "Do you listen to rap music?" and I'm like, "Yea, I listen to all kinds of music, rock, rap..." and then my friend cuts me off saying "if you say you listen to all kinds of music, that means you dont listen to rap music!" What is he talking about??? I do listen to rap!
first off, my friend is a huge fan of rap music, so he DOES consider rap to be music. i had asked this question before on here and people on here thought that he meant rap isnt music, and they agreed with him. so he couldnt mean that rap isnt music.
why did he say that? he sounds like such an idiot sometimes

Maybe he didn't really listen to your whole answer..he may have heard you say "I listen to rap", zoned you out to think and then by the time he finished HIS train of thought you had kept talking...just ignore him when he doesn't completely pay attention. he isn't an idiot he's just too quick to answer. we all have our faults. don't hold his against him just like you pray that nobody holds a grudge against you because you make mistakes...

it particularly is barely a poorly-expressed opinion, that rap isn't a valid musical type. yet it particularly is his opinion: one is often of the opinion that heavy metallic rock isn't track, yet purely noise, or that track performed with drums is likewise no longer track, yet purely somebody banging on a floor. Technically, you're able to make track with a stick and a type of hollow drums, as is considered interior the musical Stomp on Broadway. additionally, while somebody says they hear to all styles of track, I take it to intend certainly one of two issues: they hear to a brilliant type of diverse genres (yet easily no longer each and each type), or that they could tolerate and appreciate samples from maximum genres. i myself can say I hear to all styles of track, yet i do no longer hear to u . s . a . track on customary. although, i'm able to tolerate it, and that i've got heard some songs that i presumed have been good. additionally, ordinarily, i do in comparison to punk rock, yet returned, I even have heard some good songs that must be located in that type. in short, what's 'track' and what isn't is somewhat subjective. although, the final public opinion does count, as one can be much less probably to offend people via calling a beat performed on a wall with a stick a masterpiece, on a similar time as brushing off Mozart's Requiem in D Minor.
