Esmeralda is spanish for Emerald. I love that name for a babygirl. Do you think its a good name?

In some respects, it is kind of an old-fashion name, but then, since it hasn't been in use much lately, it might make a fresh start...you might start a new trend. I'd say go for it.

If you love it, then go for it, everybody has a different opinion on what's good and what's not. For me it's not a name that I would primarily choose because it's a bit too old fashioned and sounds a bit like a name for an older person but that's my opinion... whatever works for you dear. If it's something that's already kinda stuck in your head then I'd say, that may be the one.

I almost like Emerald better. But if you are looking more for spanish names, then go for Esmeralda- name your baby whatever you feel in your heart you like best.

If u have a baby girl or baby sister or some thing like that, Emerlada would be great not Esmeralda. OK...... I love the name Emerlada. It gives a power or a symbol to the person. Peace u later............

I always liked the name Isabella for my daughter, but my husband hated it, so we named her Jessica. If you like Esmeralda then go with it!

If you are looking for a ethic Spanish name go for it. If the name is something you like and makes you feel happy when you hear it then go for it. I have some names that I picked for my children that my husband says no way jose…but I think if you love the name go for it. I personally do like the name because I love the ethic names.

Does the name have any special sentiments, Like an older relatives name? I like the name and its meaning. It's different with a little old school flair.

That's my sister in law's name and I think it's really pretty and cool cuz it's different. Her family calls her Ez for short. She also gets a lot of compliments on it.
