Do you mean if there is any change in the world hunger/starvation situation? We shouldn't do anything in the event of change .... WE SHOULD **BE** THE CHANGE! The United States is blessed beyond belief with resources, and we should share them with others... not just other countries but with our own people as well. There are so many poor people right here in the United States. Now I am certainly not suggesting that we only take care of "our own"...but rather that we should help ourselves AND those in other countries. Are you in the U.S.? If so then I'm sure that you are aware of the enormous amount of food that rots in the dumpsters. It's sickening. There is so much that we could do, but yet we don't do it because our focus is on earning a buck and making sure that the rich here remain as exactly that- RICH. Major reform is needed. Generosity is needed.

By continuing to print and add money to its fiat money system, this country is devaluing its dollar, causing inflation, and causing the world's economy to suffer resulting in more hunger and starvation. Soon the hunger and starvation will hit here and we won't be able to help anyone.
The billion dollars we give today will not equal the billion dollars we give tomorrow and the same amount of food and farming equipment will not be able to be purchased. So, are we to print more and more money to give away that is worth less and less until it is worth nothing and everyone, including us, just starves?
The best thing we can do to prevent world hunger and starvation is to stop giving our money away while we take back the authority to print money from the private banking cartel known as the Federal Reserve Bank and return to a gold and silver standard. This will cause some hardship for a while but it will be nothing like the hardship that occurs when the paper money scheme supported and maintained by the Fed and the Crown collapses here and in Europe.
The Great Depression will pale alongside what will happen if we don't do this.

The U.S. already give alot to foreign aid, even to countries we consider enemy states (ie, North Korea). The problem isn't the U.S. govt. giving aid, its that the foreign govts. usually take the majority of the aid and fail to deliver them to the people that need it. Monetary aid is typically taken for propping up the militaries of these countries and the food is stockpiled and kept from the most needy people.
What should we do if the situation worsens? We could give more but then the above situations keep the majority of the needed aid from the people that need it most. Give nothing, then the world bemoans how rich the U.S. is and how they don't share. Its kind of a no win situation.

MREs for everyone. Seriously,
maybe we could just for a moment stop BUILDING on all of the farm land and actually turn farming into a lucrative enough enterprise so there will never be a shortage of grains, soy, vegetables, whatever, to share with the world.

There are two things the US Government can do:
1. Give or pay out billions dollars to: a) Private companies and corporations so that they can obtain or manufacture materials needed to grow food and to give these materials free or sell them at reduce rates to other farmers and corporations that either grow or process food.
2. Give billions of dollars to other governments so that they can grow food in their country, a condition of this aid would be that they promise the American people that they will not use this money to develop or build nuclear weapons.

We already are a net exporter of food, and provide more humanitarian aid throughout the world than any other country. We have been combating world hunger, as well as outbreak of disease, etc. for decades.

Why do we have to feed them? What are we suppose to do feed them for 20 years, then fight a war with them because we didn't feed them enough.Country's should take care of their own people. Not leave it up to the US to police, and feed the world.
