while watching these shows ..w theres so much repetition it spoils my viewing pleasure. after each commercial they start over from the beginning and explain again what theyve already explained starting from the beginning, in othere words they cram ten minutes of information into 30 minutes or an hour. BOREING. why canit they stop this and just make the shows long enough to just give the info without the repetition. id much rather see a shorte ten minutes instead of viewing the same info over and over

I agree, unfortunately all they care is about money..if they repeat themselves, it is less info they have to get and more commercials they can run in between.

Probably alot to do with the cost of producing a real 20 or 30 minute program verses a 10 minute program, the higher cost program would not be bought because of competition

It's so that when there are people just tuned in to the program, they'd get a brief recap of what happened in the show. So even if they weren't able to catch the beginning of the program, they'd still understand what's going on.

i understand what your talking about. i think the television media try to accomadate all viewers, for people that might have missed part of the program, they recap everything to fill these viewers in, and maybe some people, like my mom, who has alzhiemers', can better keep in touch with some reality. so, most of us find this annoying, but they try to please the entire viewing population. books would offer less redundancy, if you like to read.
