Firewall vs. Limewire... can someone tell me how to let Limewire through?

I have a newly installed Verizon Internet Security for my dsl, just got it this week. My dad installed it and I didn't know, so when a pop-up asked me if I want to let Limewire connect to the internet, I pressed no without really reading it. Now I can't get it to connect. Under file, it says it's connected, and in my firewall thing, it says it's an active connection, but when I perform a search, it doesn't find anything. Can someone tell me how to get it re-connected to the internet, if that's even the problem? Thanks

Just redownload limewire,when the pop-up show click option always allow connection.That's all good luck!

You will have to go to the firewall settings and allow limewire. It will be probably be under blocked.

hey, i have limewire also. i had that problem at first to, i uninstalled limewire and unhooked my hardware router firewall, then re-installed it. i then hooked up my router again after i installed it and it works fine now. hope that helps, feel free to add me so we can talk more about this if you still have the problem.

go to ur settings on ur firewall allow full access to limewire . then limewire will work but you may as well delete ur firewall & ur antivirus b/c when you download from limewire ur going to have more virus .trojans.malware.spyware all over ur pc and in da end it will crash down

probably go in the verizon security settings and add limewre in the allowed list.
