diatonaceous earth? I'm in Australia and if it is a real 'earth' it will muck up the hydroponic nutiernts?

Diatomaceous earth is a fine powder. I use it in my gardens as well as my fish tanks to kill the allege. It does cloud the water and the filter catches it. Then my tanks are like new. Because it works in water to keep from mucking things up you could put some in a spray bottle, shake then spray your plants. Or you could even wipe just the troubled plants leaves. I think you have it spelled wrong...has an "m" not "n." You should be able to get it at a feed store or garden supply store. It is made from tiny crunch dead sea creatures and is good for many purposes. It may make a hydroponic system cloudy.
