the german inventors name was wankel and the rotary engines shaped like a pyramid with spark emitters inside the case of the block and fuel is burned inside the block to turn the pryamid on a shaft when first produced the rotary engine would stop at odd times producing the spark and combustion and needing a complete over haul or a new engine periodicly id read up on this engine before buying it try consumer reports online

Don't check with your local garage or dealer I've had them for over 25 yrs and most dealers make you leave a 500.00 despoit before they work on them cause it cost so much to fix them most people just say keep the car and i am serious about this i have a 88 conv. and 85

huge difference,no pistons,no cylinder heads,high reving,high power for size,complicated to maintain other than spark plugs,google it to do research for comparison
