To keep eyeshadow from smudging, keep the color, and not look like a clown, use concealor on your eyelid. Let the concealor dry and then apply the eyeshadow on the lid and blend. Light colors in the corners to make your eyes make them appear farther away from each other and applying light colors in the outer corner of your eye to make your eyes seem closer. Use a dark color on the lid and blend upwards toward your eyebrow. Use a lighter color of the same shade or a matching shade in a lighter color on your brow bone and blend. Duo sets of eyeshadow are great for this.
Finally, when you're done with blending, take your face powder and an eyeshadow blush and dust over your eyeshadow. This will keep your eyeshadow in place, reduce smudging, it will last for hours, and won't over-power your eyes!

Put a silvery color in the corner of your eye and highlight your brow. Put a light/medium color over your lid, then make a shadow into your crease with a darker color that matches.

put a cream base of eyeshadow darker than the color you want then take a powdered eyeshadow color 1 shade lighter than the color you want and apply (with one of those brushes that looks like a little paint brush) now you have your perfect shade eyeshadow and it will last up to 14 hours!
it does not matter what type of make up you use!
