I am trying to find out why wemon were sopposed to stay out of the city in the old testament if they had a girl baby compared to a boy baby

Ummm, then what happens if you have fraternal twins, one boy and one girl?

The thing that depends on how long the recovery is if there is any tearing due to the size of the baby, or if you have to have a C-section.

In the Old Testament, boys were the preferred sex of child to have. A daughter supposedly was not worth as much to a family and was a reason to feel shame. Recuperation from child birth had nothing to do with it. More like, saving face for awhile.

If it's true, then it was for sociological reasons rather than practical or medical reasons. Boy children were desired, girl children were not.

There's no medical reason. It sounds more like one of those sex-segregation practices of the ancient jews.
