I wore my baseball cap while running a marathon recently, and now it has sweat stains on it. Is there a way I can wash it without ruining the shape or having to hand wash it? Will sweat stains even come out?

Go to Walmart. They sell ball cap shapers, so you can wash them in the dishwasher or washing machine. It holds the shape, so it doesn't end up with a funny shaped bill.

You can buy those plastic things that you put the hat in and you can run it through the dishwasher. I always throw my husbands hats in the washing machine, but i don't dry them. They usually come pretty clean in the washing machine. Just reshape it when you take it out.

My brothers used to wash their hats in the top rack of the dishwasher and then they didn't lose their shape.

In a washing machine on the most gentle cycle available - COLD water only and extra fabric softener. Before putting it into the machine, wrap 2 or 3 elastics around the rim of the hat so that the machine doesnt compramise the curve of the bill.
