Totally! It's unfortunate that people judge so quickly these days- sometimes people make a judgement about someone based on one single thing they saw or heard. It's so not an accurate way to look at someone. But everyone is different, and some people just may never learn to get to know someone better before deciding things about you.

Absolutely.
But then again first impressions are the ones that resonate most with people, I should know 'cause I'm the same way.
Although, I normally would give the other person the benefit of the doubt to which I'm rarely wrong.
Usually, I have a good idea of how the person is from the first meeting. Personally, people often think I'm too posh because I'm not much of a social butterfly but the truth is, I'm a really private & shy person.

Sometimes... But then I remember that I care less about their perceptions of me than my own.
How I perceive myself is most important because I know what is going on in my heart and mind. If my intentions are good then I really couldn't give a toss what anyone else thinks. They don't have to live my life, and thank goodness I don't have to live theirs and deal with the results of all their mistakes or bad habits.
We all answer to ourselves in the end.

Perception: Is the egos plan to keep itself going is through blame - both subtle and obvious -attack, condemnation and the continuing projection and recycling of your guilt. This in turn tricks you into thinking your getting rid of guilt when what your doing is holding on to it - keeping it in your own unconscious, keeping the whole vicious cycle going.

Unfortunately allot of the time. While I'm not really shy I can be really quiet. People tend to take it as me being stuck up or something. When I'm really just awful at small talk and quiet by nature.

All the time, but I know they are. I don't say much and how I act isn't how I feel most of the time. I'm just not comfortable with most people knowing the real me. Then it's frustrating because they don't. It's my own damn fault.

Yes quite often. I do not allow it to bother me! For those who know me are the ones that truly count, so who really cares. Let them think what they will. God bless

DEFINITELY -- unfortunately, in this world, we are confronted on a DAILY BASIS with Prejudice and Hate -- for the color of our skin, for the way we look, for who we are (even as single moms), and even for what sex we are.
