And in respose to the first answer you got....I am a Christian and it is true that every man has sin, but Jesus himself punished those who sinned. And saddam hussein has sinned big time and deserves a severe punishment...he has no repentance and is glad for the atrocities he has committed.

I wished that they would have carried the entire trial on tv instead of the highlights. Then we would be able to give a better opinion. It looks to me that Sadaam got away with a lot of things during his trial that the every day person would not be allowed to do. From what little I have seen about the trial I think the verdict was just. Listening to the witness describe the killings that they saw was heartbreaking

Fair Trial, Fair Verdict.

He got away with a LOT of INSANE Antics during the trial that the average person would NOT have been allowed to do -- if it was me or someone on the street, we'd already be convicted and rotting in a jail cell for disrupting the hearing, and that would definitely affect the length of the sentence anyway.

There is NOTHING that can replace the MANY peoples he ordered be murdered during his reign in Iraq -- he was ethnically cleansing regions and the testimony of the survivors in the hearings -- there is NO WAY that Hanging is even going to bring one iota of relief to the Victims' families -- and the towns that he wiped off the face of the earth.
