OK, here is the once and for all answer to those of you who are asking if you might be pregnant.

1. If you suspect at ALL that you might be pregnant, buy a two-pack HPT.
2. Take the first one. If it comes out positive, you probably are preg.
3. Wait two days and take the second test. If it too comes out positive, you're almost certainly preg.
4. Some signs to look for that indicate possible pregnancy:
A. Extremely sore or tender breasts
B. Darkening of the aureola; the area around the nipples
C. Late period, by more than about a week
D. Light-headed or dizzy, if you are not normally prone to that

5. Make an appointment with an OB/GYN or nurse-midwife ASAP so you can get proper prenatal care.

Thank you and please stop flooding the Pregnancy and Parenting section with this repetitive question! I mean no disrespect...but a HPT is far more accurate than a bunch of strangers trying to diagnose you as being pregnant or not!! :)

Hehehe I agree and to those that say "Could I be pregnant if..."

If you have had sex, you could be pregnant. I don't care if you used a million kinds of birth control, you were menstruating or whatever. If you have a ovaries you could be pregnant.

I'm soo glad you posted this, and I would like to add something:
soo many girls/women come on here because the want someone to magically tell them that they are definitely pregnant. I know because I went to forums looking for that at one time. The truth is, false negative HPT's are NOT very common, and you shouldn't convince yourself that you are one of the very few women this happens to. Take a test when your period is late. Believe what it says, or wait a week to test again. And the advice we can offer to people asking these questions is very limited.
I guess I'm just repeating what's been said, but AMEN!!

I think even a new born baby knows how to check the pregnancy. People ask questions not because they don't know what do, but to get different opinions from different people who have the experience. It would help them in getting prepared for those test results you are talking about. They can atleast know what to expect from those test results.

I don't think there is any harm in asking questions. Infact that is what the Yahoo Answers is all about!

You said it! I know I am pregnant... no question about it.

I would like to add.... Yes, you can become pregnant on your period. Yes, pre-ejaculate can cause pregnancy AND no, having sex with your 14 year old boyfreind is NOT the best way to show him you love him.

I am so glad you posted this, because I see this question all too often.
And, no, I couldn't possibly be pregnant, and if I thought I were, I certainly wouldn't be asking these people.
