This was spoofed in his mockumentary about his last day at Microsoft. You can see Jay-Z helping "Billy-G" lay down his rap track in the studio, and then Jay-Z telling him that it was good, but then telling the audience it's terrible. Matthew McConnaughey is pretty funny as Bill's personal trainer too..."Curls for Girls", and "Sun's out...guns out." It's a pretty funny video. The Jay-Z bit starts at 7:45 and goes through 8:25. Then he goes on to phone Bono and tries to get a part in U2. Check it out:

It was more like late 80s. They got caught lip syncing and then it was revealed that they did not sing on any part of the album. They loss their Grammy and basically disappeared from the public eye. One of them committed suicide in 1997. I am not sure what the other is doing.

Pilatus was heavily into drugs - and was found dead in a Frankfurt hotel room in 1998.
Fabrice lives in NY and continues to pursue a solo career.

One of the guys committed suicide in the 90's. The other is, I believe, STILL trying to launch a singing career - and actually singing himself, this time.

according to vhl behind the music. 1 is dead the light skinned one. he killed himself was depressed. the dark one is living as a average joe.
