I was using battery power for awhile this afternoon, and i put the ac adapter in but its broken so it falls out all the time. my problem now is that everytime the adapter falls out my computer shuts off? best buy is shipping me a new adapter, but whats up with my comp?

when removing ur power cable from ur laptop . shut down da laptop frist. then switch it off at da power point befor you remove da power cable from da side of da power point . or you will damage ur power supply in ur laptop. and you could do damage to da laptop.
do not use that laptop again un till you have a new power cable if it fall out again ur need to have da power supply replace

It's your power management settings. If it reaches a certain battery level it automatically shuts down or hibernate to save data in your cache. You can disable this default function by going to your control panel and clicking the power management icon. Good luck.
